Hey Guys

Hey I figured I would just let everyone know that I don't think I'll be writing this story anymore. I have been reading many other fan fictions and think they are all amazing which makes me kind of disappointed in where my story is. I don't feel like I can write an interesting story like some of you can so I'm just going to enjoy your stories. To those of you who actually do read my story I'd like to thank you for leaving your comments, they always made me feel great. So thanks again and I look forward to enjoying your stories :) !!!!

Chapter 30

The next morning I woke up to the sun shining in on my face. I was facing outside and couldn't move because Sidney basically had me in a death grip up against his body as close as I could get and there was no escaping, not that I'd even try to escape. Being in his arms was like nothing I've ever felt before. With my ex it felt nice to be in his arms but being in Sidney's arms made me feel safe and wanted. A few minutes later I felt him begin to squirm around behind me but I didn't realize he was awake until I felt him kiss my shoulder and then I turned around to face him.

"Good morning sunshine." I stated as he kissed me on the tip of the nose.
"Good morning beautiful," he started, "but you might not think it so beautiful in a minute. I kinda left something out last night when I asked you to stay here."
"Oh God if you tell me you have another girlfriend stashed away here somewhere I am going to hurt you."

A little grin spread across his face at this comment. "No Brooke it's not that bad, it's just that well my father is staying here right now."
"NOT THAT BAD." I basically screamed while I jumped out of bed. "What the fuck Sidney no it's that that bad of course not it's even worse. He already hated me and that was even before we were dating. OH MY Sid you're such a douche now he's going to know we slept together."
"Brooke relax I'm twenty one I'm pretty sure he knows that I sleep with girls. And you standing there giving me the death glare isn't going to help your case."
"I have half a mind to punch you in the face right now. I have to leave like now before he knows I'm here."
"Would you stop he's not that bad." He said while I tried putting on my own clothes. I was back on but this statement made me wheel around and glare at him.

"You're delusional Sid he is bad. No offence I know he's your father and all and I'm sure he's nice to your family but really if this were a movie he'd be the villain and I would be the damsel in distress who needs rescuing."
"And who does that make me? Am I your knight in shining armor?" He said with a smile.
"No you're the idiot who got me in this mess. I'm just going to jump out your window it's the only way."
"Brooke it's two stories high."
"Doesn't matter it has to be done I'm only twenty one I'm not ready to have a hitman hired to make away with me. And you know what he probably won't even hire one he'll probably do it himself when he finds out that his virgin like son slept with me."
"First of all I'm not a virgin like guy."
"Please I bet you could even get into Priesthood in his eyes."
"Alright this is gone too far. I'm not that goody goody and nobody's going out any windows ok?"
"Maybe he's not up yet and I can sneak out." I said mostly to myself but as if on cue there was a knock on the door.

"Sid." I heard Troy bellow through the door and I was frozen into position. "Are you coming down for breakfast we're all waiting for you?"
"Yeah I'll be right there dad." Sid answered and then we heard footsteps walking away. "Are you going to be joining us?"
"Sid I can't face into him it's going to be horrible."

He got off the bed and got dressed without saying a word. When he was ready he came over to me and cupped my face into his hands.

"Brooke, listen to me, it's not going to be as bad as you think it is. Mario and Nathalie already know about you and so does my mom, she's here too if that helps. She's stoked I finally found a nice girl who likes me and my dad will too with time. He won't say anything because he knows that then not only am I going to be pissed but so is my mom. You might as well get it over with because you're going to have to face him some day."
"Fine I will but you're taking me home right after."
"That's fine, and thanks babe."
"Whatever." I said with a little smirk as he took me by my hand and led me to the kitchen in Mario's house.

As we entered the kitchen everyone basically stopped what they were doing and stared at the sight of Sid and I entering together which made me pull my hand away from his making him laugh a little.

"Hey guys," he started calmly, "You all remember Brooke?"
"I certainly do." His mom replied. "I'm so glad you're around now to give this boy a little more than hockey in his life."
"Trina don't talk like that, hockey is his life, nothing else." Troy stated firmly while staring daggers into me.
"Troy don't be so foolish he's a twenty one year old boy he needs a real life." She retorted while smiling at me warmly.
"Hockey is a real life and he's been doing just fine with it all these years, I don't see why anything has to change."
"Alright everyone less talking, more eating." Nathalie chimed in just as I was getting ready to high tail it to the door.

Sid pulled out a chair for me and then everyone sat around the table. Everyone was eating in an awkward silence until Troy decided to change it. "So Brooke, Sid says you guys haven't been together for long, seems a little early to be spending the night don't you think?"

I was completely taken aback, I knew he didn't like the thought of us together but I didn't think he would basically call me easy. I could see the look of sheer terror come across Trina's and Nathalie's faces while Sid looked completely pissed, even Mario seemed a little uncertain about that comment.

"Troy!" Trina and Nathalie both snapped at the same time.
"What?" Troy asked innocently. "Don't pretend that you're not all thinking it?"
"Dad would you shut up, seriously that's not cool." Sid said sounding aggravated.
"Of course you don't think it son you're benefiting from it, that is until she ruins your career."
"OK that's enough let's just eat." Mario interjected and everyone fell silent and continued eating.

I was basically sat there fighting back tears. I have never been disrespected like that before, let alone with a boyfriend's father. I saw Sid was just playing with his food and not really eating.

"Sid can you drive me home? I don't really feel well." I stated still trying to fight back tears.
"No no no you don't have to go home. You're very welcome here, please sit, finish your breakfast." Mario said sounding genuinely bad.
"Thanks but I really should go." This time I could actually hear my voice shaking.

Sid automatically jumped out of his chair and put his hand on my lower back as we were leaving.

"Well she scares easy." I heard Troy mumble to himself and Nathalie try to shush him again.

As we were in the porch putting our boots and coats on I heard someone coming up behind me.

"Brooke," Trina stated gently, "Sweetie I'm am so so sorry for my husband's behaviour. He's just so protective of Sidney that I don't think he realizes that he hurts other people's feelings. Please, just don't take this out on Sidney, he talks so highly of you don't let Troy's idiocy ruin it. I'll talk to Troy and trust me you're welcome around here whenever you feel like coming."
Thanks Mrs. Crosby, I don't think I'll be around much but I really do appreciate it." I replied.
"Please I would love to get to know you better. Troy will be more behaved I promise."

All I could do was nod before she pulled me into a hug and then apologized to Sid and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Sid and I walked to his Range Rover in silence and then drove to my place in complete silence.

"I don't even want to go back and face him." Sid stated as he pulled into my driveway.
"So don't, hang out here for a while." I offered.

He looked at me full of surprise. "You're not mad at me?"
"Not at all it's not your responsibility what your father says." I replied as we both got out.
"Still I am so sorry, I can't believe he would actually say that to you."
"Let's just drop it. But just so you know I'm telling Logan."

Then we enter the house and walk into the living room where we hear voices. I'm not at all surprised to see Max sat up with Logan and Laura.

"Aaahh look coming there doing the walk of shame, except she brought her sleeping buddy with her." Max stated causing me to blush and everyone else to laugh. "So how was it?"
"Max show some decency." I joke back as Sid and I plopped down on the couch with me in the middle of him and Max. Logan and Laura are sitting on the futon together.

"I got attacked." I stated.
"Sid, how many times have I got to tell you this? Sex has to be consensual." Max chirped making everyone laugh.
"Buzz off Talbot she's talking about my dad." Sid answered.
"Oh God this can't be good." Logan stated. I looked at Laura and saw how confused she looked at even though I hated her I figured I would fill her in.

"His father is the devil." I started only to get interrupted.
"Brooke he's not the devil." Sid said as he rolled his eyes.
"Right, I'm sorry. So his father is the devil's minion." I said as everyone laughed. "Apparently hockey is the only life that Sid's allowed to have and so daddy is super evil when it comes to anything that breathes. And this morning he obviously didn't want me there, called me a slut." When I said this everyone's eyes shot open.

"He called you a what?" Max demanded looking pissed.
"Stop he didn't call her a slut." Sid defended.
"No he insinuated it though."
"Son of a bitch." Logan said looking and sounding pissed.
"Alright listen, I know he was out of line, way out of line actually and I am really pissed at him for what he said to her. She doesn't deserve it but I'm sorry I can't sit here and listen to you all bash him. I know he's an ass sometimes but he is my father and everything he does is for me, even if he takes things too far." Sid snapped turning red in the face.

This caused everyone to stop and everything was silent for a few minutes. I think we were all actually feeling bad for Sid, I know I was. Listening to us talk about his father like that couldn't be easy.

"Man I'm sorry." Max stated.
"Yeah me too." Logan agreed.
"Don't be, he deserves it I just can't listen to it." Sid said.
"We should do something today." I suggested trying to lighten the mood.
"Like what?" Max asked.
"I have no idea but we should go out and do something fun. Me and Sid, Logan and Laura, Max and well look in your little black book and find someone."
"I'm going to call Jordan. Can we invite Marc and Vero?" Max asked.
"I think she meant a girl but Jordan will do and someone call Mel and Colby too." Logan said.
"OH MY GOD LET'S GO BOWLING. OR MINI GOLFING. OH I'M SO EXCITED." I screamed as I jumped off of the couch. "I'm going to shower first you guys call them up, make plans, I'll be ready in like half an hour."

Everyone started laughing at what I could only imagine would be my enthusiasm and I heard them making the calls as I headed upstairs to shower.

Chapter 29

The ride back to Sid's place was filled with silence. Neither of us even tried to make conversation and the whole ride felt awkward. After what seemed like forever we arrived at the Lemieux household and he pulled up and parked in the parking lot. We got out of the car and I followed him silently to the house. Once inside we made our way into his wing of the house and into his bedroom before he finally broke the silence.

"Just make yourself comfortable, I'll be back in a minute." He said over his shoulder as he was on his way out through his bedroom door.

I sat down on the edge of the bed and stayed there waiting for him. He came back after a few minutes with two bottles of water in his hand and handed me one. Then he came and sat down next to me on the bed. The silence that had started up again was killing me and I wanted to start any type of conversation with him before I went insane.

"I'm sorry I overreacted at the bar." I stated simply.
"What? I brought you here so I could apologize. I should have known better than think she was going to just try to hang out after what you overheard. So I'm sorry I should've stayed away from her. But I'm serious she didn't start until she saw you coming." He responded.
"I believe that. I just feel bad that we're here and most of your friends are at the bar celebrating, it doesn't seem fair especially since you're the captain."
"I'd rather be here alone with you, working on us. I think there are things we have to talk about and get out of the way so we may as well do it."
"What happened to just being normal?" I felt a little disappointed that he still had things in mind to talk about.
"I'm assuming if the conversation goes the way I'm hoping it does then we will be able to be normal."
"Alright well let's get the show on the road."

Sid smiled at me and signalled for me to get more comfortable on the bed. I went right back against the wall so that my feet was spread across the bed and he did the same staying right beside me. After we had both gotten comfortable he got started.

"I know that ever since we decided to give us a shot there has been something to royally fuck us over every time," he began, "And I hate that. Especially when I told you that this wasn't worth the long distance relationship because that was just stupid. The truth is you're the first girl that I've been with who doesn't like me for my money and fame, you, for some reason, like me for me and I guess I'm just not that used to it so I always have my guard up."
"Sid it's not all your fault I've overreacted about things a lot and I know that. It's just that I've had one boyfriend since I can remember. We didn't really have to do this whole getting to know each other because we grew up together anyway so we kind of just escalated to the point of a relationship. And then I finds out he's been sneaking around with one of my best friends behind my back so I think that's something I'll have to get over." I responed.
"Well you might not believe this but you can ask any of the team and they'll tell you I'm not like that. If we have a problem I want to deal with it with you and not go behind your back to somebody else so you do not have to worry about me cheating or anything, I'm not going to hurt you."
"And I do believe you I guess we just have to stop buying into all the drama and try to be normal."

He paused for a few minutes before starting again.

"What do you want to do about the media?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" I questioned not knowing what he was talking about.
"Well they're eventually going to see us together and then it's going to get crazy for you. Do you want to tell people we're together or are we just friends to them. When some of the fans finds out they're going to drag you through the ringer and the media will be up in your face all of the time."
"Vero and the rest of the girls don't seem to mind."
"Well not to sound full of it or anything but they rest of the team doesn't have to deal with the media like I do, for some reason they're always fascinated by my life and up until now I haven't had much of a private life to hide."
"So does that mean you want to hide us?"
"I just don't want to throw you to the sharks if you're not ready."
"Well how about we don't go around broadcasting but if we're asked we can say that we're seeing what happens. That way we're not denying it or confirming it."
"You're a smart girl. And believe me it won't be all bad because a lot of people will love you, how could they not? And the guys and most of the girls thinks a lot of you so you're surrounded with support."
"Alright well I'm ready to be in a real relationship with you so whatever comes with you I'll gladly accept it."

He leaned over and kissed me on the forehead after I said that.

"There's one more thing and then I promise we can stop." He said with a little smile.
"Let it out." I replied.
"What happens when I leave Pittsburgh? Do you want to try the long distance for the summer because I do. I think we can make it work and I really want to at least give us a real chance."
"I agree."
"So we're officially a real, exclusive couple in it for the long haul?"
"Absolutely."
"And now the normal starts."
"Finally." I said as I rested my head on his shoulder.

Once again we fell into a silence but this time it was far from awkward. It was comfortable and I could have stayed like it for the rest of the night if he hadn't had something else in mind.


He kissed my forehead again which made me smile and look up at him. As soon as our eyes met his lips came crashing down on mine with a fiery passion that I'd never experienced before. He began to move me until I caught on to what he was doing and I climbed on top of him so that I was straddling him, with each of my legs on either side of his body. The kiss only began to intensify from this point and I knew that there was no backing out now. He began to kiss along my jawline and down my neck while he brought his hands up my sides sending shivers down my spine. He broke his lips away from my body long enough to pull my shirt off over my head and then dove back into my lips. Somehow he managed to flip us so that we were lying normally on the bed, me with my head on the pillows and him on top of me. I was so turned on by the feel of his body pressing me into the mattress and the warmth oozing from him that I didn't know how I was going to handle myself. I grabbed the bottom of his t-shirt and pulled it off over his head and threw it on the floor next to mine.

"Maybe I should lock the door before this goes any further." He stated breathlessly as he pulled away from me.
"OK." Was all I could muster out of me.

He got up off the bed and turned on the bedside lamp then over to the door and locked it, turning off the light as he made his way back over to me. He layed down on top of me again, parting my legs so that he could fit in between them. He slowly kissed his way down my neck then my chest and on down my stomach until he reached the top of my jeans. He quickly unbuttoned them and I rose a little so he could slip them all the way off and add to the pile of clothing that was building on the floor. He made his way back up and our lips connected again for another heated kiss. While the kiss was happening my hands made their way down to his jeans and unbuttoned them and pushed them as far down as I could reach while he kicked them the rest of the way off.

We never broke the kiss while his right hand found it's way down my body, while his left hand kept him propped up. His right hand slowly made it's way into my underwear and I couldn't help but suck in quickly as I felt him insert two of his fingers inside me. He began moving them around inside me and after a few minutes stopped long enough to take my underwear completely off and then inserted them again. He began pumping them faster and faster and I could feel my orgasm coming. It was so close and as soon as I was about to go off he pulled them out of me quickly.

"Sid, why?" I groaned causing a smile to spread across his face. Then in one swift motion he had his boxers taken off and a condom put on. He used his hands to spread my legs as far as they would go and then he entered me. I dug my nails into his back as I could feel every inch of him going deeper and stretching me. Once he was in as far as he could go he stopped to allow me to get used to the size of him in me. After a few minutes he began moving in circular motions which made me dig my nails in him even harder as he stretched me even further. Then he pulled himself all the way out and dove back in as far as he could go. He began to thrust into me and got a steady rhythm going. I couldn't keep the whimpers in as he hit the sweet spot with every thrust. I could feel the sensations getting stronger and stronger until my orgasm hit and I moaned out very loudly. I could feel my whole body trembling beneath him and he continued to pump inside me.

After I had stopped trembling he flipped us over so that I was now on top straddling him. I bent over to give him a quick kiss before I sat up straight and put my hands on his thighs. I began to move my hips in a circular motion this time and knew he was enjoying it because I could hear him sucking his breath in. Then as I could feel my own sensations coming back as I moaned even more, then I began to move up and down faster and faster until my second orgasm hit with full force and I screamed out his name and I could feel my walls constricting around him. While I was coming back to reality he flipped us over again so that he was on top of me and gave a few more thrusts before he experienced his own orgasm, moaning my name as it happened. He stayed inside of me for a few minutes allowing our breathing to get back to normal. Then he kissed me on forehead and pulled out of me. He shoved his boxers on and threw me over my underwear before he went into the bathroom. I got fully dressed and when he came out I went in to try to freshen myself up a little. As I came out I saw him laying on the bed looking at me with a huge smile on his face.

"What?" I asked feeling really paranoid all of a sudden.
"Just thinking about how lucky I am to have such an amazing and beautiful girlfriend." He replied causing me to blush.
"Well thanks," I started feeling a little shy for some reason. "I should get home I guess."
"Are you serious?" He asked looking a little disappointed.
"Well yeah what'd you expect?"
"I don't know, that maybe you would stay here tonight."
"Well I suppose that could be arranged." I said as I walked towards him with smile.
"Great, call Logan first and I'll get you some shorts and a t-shirt to wear. I have a spare toothbrush too if you want it."
"OK."

I made a quick call and listened to Logan make fun of me for being easy for a few minutes and then hung up. Sid had placed the clothes on the bed for me and I went into the bathroom and changed into them and brushed my teeth. When I came out he had the covers pulled back and was already in bed waiting for me. I climbed in beside him and snuggled up to him. He was laying on his back and I layed on my side facing him resting my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me. He gave me another kiss on the forehead once I was all settled in.

"Good-night baby." He said.
"Night Sid." I replied as I drifted off into the most peaceful sleep that I have had in months.

Chapter 28

There was silence for a few minutes after everyone left where we sort of just looked around the room and avoided making eye contact. It started to get to me so I figured it would be better to use the band-aid technique and get it over as quick as possible.


"Sid everyone's waiting for you so just do what you're going to do." I said with my voice shaking a little.
"I'm an idiot." He replied still not making eye contact with me.
"Why? You made it very clear how you feel and that doesn't really make you an idiot." I stated as he finally looked at me.
"Brooke what I said came out completely wrong and I still don't know how to say it right. I didn't mean that this isn't worth it because it is. I just don't want us to rush into anything too quickly and you regret it."
"What makes you think I'll regret it?"
"I don't know that you will I just don't want to pressure you. I know that I am willing to do whatever it takes. I've liked you ever since I first met you but you're just thinking of me in this way so I don't want to offer long distance if that's not what you're going to want."
"Oh trust me I've been wanting this too Sid. And how about we just see what happens it's only April yet so you're here for a few months anyway."
"Hopefully but that depends on how far we make it."
"You guys are awesome I think you're going to do it this year."
"I hope so. So can we just forget this whole stupid thing and pretend nothing happened. I'd really like for us to be normal for once."
"Yeah I'd like that too."


He then came over and gave me a quick kiss. When he pulled away he just looked deep into my eyes and I saw a look come over him that I've never seen before. He leaned down and started kissing me again, but this time it was a deeper kiss with more passion. He backed me over to the couch and I lay down on it with him coming down on top of me. We were starting to get into it more, his hands were roaming my entire body while my hands were tangled in the hair on the back of his head. He left my lips and started kissing his way down my neck sending chills through me. His hands were travelling up my shirt, bringing it up with him, and when he got so far he pulled me up and took my shirt completely off. He brought his mouth back to mine for a while and then went back to my neck, this time kissing his way down my chest until he got as far as my bra. But then he stopped and pulled away from me.


"What's wrong?" I asked breathlessly.
He smiled at me and shook his head. "Nothing, if this is going to happen we should go upstairs, just in case."
"Yeah you're probably right." I said feeling nervous all of a sudden.
"But the guys are all waiting so we should just get to the bar I guess."
"Yeah ok." I replied feeling confused and a little disappointed at his change in mood.


I grabbed my shirt and put it back on and went to the bathroom to finish getting ready. When I was done he was sitting on the couch waiting for me.


"All set." I stated as I went into the living room.


He got up and gave me a quick peck and then we put our coats and boots on and left.


"I didn't think you guys were going to be back until tomorrow some time." I said while we were on our way.
"Yeah I figured we would leave in the morning but after the win we all wanted to celebrate with you guys." He replied.
"I bet it was because of Army and Bugsy right?"
"Well we are looking forward to seeing them but of course we mostly wanted to celebrate with our beautiful girlfriends."
"I bet. So I guess there's going to be more than just a couple of the girlfriends and wives tonight compared to last night, right?"
"Actually there might not be too many tonight it's just the young guys going out. The guys with kids can't find babysitters on short notice. But tomorrow night is the actual team celebration so they're not really missing anything."
"I will tell you I am not getting drunk again tonight, last night was too much."
"Yeah we're going to get you four back for that last night too. Who's idea was it actually to call us?"
"It was Colby's. Well actually Colby just wanted to call you it was Vero's idea to add Marc to the mix. It was funny though."
"Yeah everyone on the team thought so too."
"Besides that's my payback for the morning you guys all decided to call me and wake me up before practise."
"Alright fair enough. We're here."


We were pulling into a parking place with a huge line up of people waiting outside the building. Of course we didn't have to wait, we went into the back entrance and met everyone in the VIP
section of the bar. It was upstairs with couches and tables and rails going around it.


"You guys are finally here, Sid I'm stealing your girlfriend." Vero yelled as soon as we got there.
"Just bring her back." He replied. He gave me a quick kiss and I was off to the bar where the rest of the girls were. It was the same girls from last night so it was comfortable and a lot of fun. About half an hour later I saw Logan and Max heading towards the back entrance and I watched them, being confused. A few minutes later they came back in with of course Laura and Kristy with him.


"Son of a bitch." I said, while the rest of the girls turned to look at what I was seeing.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me." Vero mumbled while the rest of the girls responded the exact same way I did.
"Alright forget it I am getting drunk tonight." I said while I ordered a beer and the rest of the girls joined me.


A few minutes later I felt someone come up behind me and when I turned around Max was standing there.


"I'm sorry Brooke I couldn't tell Logan we didn't want his girlfriend here. But I didn't know that Kristy would be coming too." He said sounding very genuine.
"It's ok Max don't worry about it." I replied.


He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and headed back upstairs with the guys. I watched him walk upstairs and join Sid on one of the couches. Sid saw me looking at him and winked at me.


"I really don't think you have to worry." Vero said grabbing my attention.
"I don't think so either to be honest." I replied.
"Alright so let's get drunk." Mel yelled as she ordered a round of shots for us.
"This is going to be a long night." Vero and I said simultaneously causing everyone to laugh.


After we had our shots done and had another couple drinks we decided that we should go upstairs since this was supposed to be a celebration for the guys. When we went upstairs everyone looked for their significant other. Of course my boyfriend was sitting up with Logan, Laura, and Kristy but thankfully Max and Colby was there too which made me feel a little better. We all split up as Mel and I walked over to them. We were both a little drunk.


"Well there they are", Sid started, "we thought you actually abandoned us at our celebration."
"Awwe well at least you wouldn't have been lonely." I stated after realizing that Kristy had her hand on his knee.
"I have to pee, Brooke come with me." Mel said as she grabbed my arm. We both walked away as I rolled my eyes when Sid stared at me.


When we got to the bathroom I let loose. "We can never be just normal there's always something happening. Between fighting and other girls getting between us what the hell am I supposed to do with that."


Just then the door swung open and Vero walked in. "Brooke Marc told me to come make sure you were ok, what's going on?"
"Little miss slut was feeling Sid up when we went over to them and he was doing absolutely nothing to stop her." Mel answered.
"I'm going to handle this." Vero stated as she walked out of the bathroom.
"That can't be good, right?" I said laughing a little.
"No probably not." Mel agreed.


We stayed in the bathroom for a while talking about random things like the move to Atlanta and the upcoming wedding, staying completely away from the Sid subject. About ten minutes later Vero came into the bathroom again.


"Everything is fixed." She stated as soon as she came in.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Well I went and dragged Sid, Max, and Marc outside for a little chat and well Colby tagged along. They all claims that she only put her hand there when you came upstairs so there was nothing happening before you were there. And obviously I pointed out the fact that it wouldn't be a big deal with them hanging out and stuff except for the fact that he knows what her plans are and he's kind of playing along with her. So now he feels like a complete jackass because he said he already said something earlier that almost ruined you. Anyway he's waiting for you to come out because he wants to go home because he's sick of hurting you."
"I don't want him to go home this is his celebration that's not what this is about."
"He knows that but he wants the two of you to leave so you can hang out and be normal for once. Oh and Max is a little pissed at him too."
"I guess I should go fix all of this, I probably overreacted once again but I'm a little buzzed right now I can't help it."
"No Brooke", Mel chimed in, "You didn't overreact the girl has a plan to get between you two and he's being all buddy buddy with her, I would be upset too."
"Alright well let's go out there and see what he's going to say to you." Vero said as she held the door open for me.
"Fine but I'm getting another drink." I stated as we all walked out and towards the bar.


Before we even made it to the Bar Sid was in front of me cutting me off, I actually almost slammed into him. "Can we go outside for a minute?"

I nodded my head and followed him outside.


"Can we go somewhere and talk?" He asked.
"Actually you know what there's always something stupid for us to talk about and it's frustrating. This is supposed to be a celebration for you guys so how about you go back inside and enjoy it and I'll head home." I answered.
"No Brooke come on nothing even happened she did it as soon as she saw you. And tomorrow night is the real celebration so it doesn't matter if I leave this one early. Please let's just go back to my place and be normal like we said, please."
"Fine, you're just lucky you're hot." I stated as I turned and headed back for the door.
"Are you drunk?" He asked with a chuckle.
"Just a little."
"Great. So I'll run upstairs and grab our coats and we'll head back to my place."
"Alright." I said as I went to find Vero and Mel and tell them I was leaving. I said bye to them and like two minutes later Sid was back and my side.

"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah."


We went out to his car, and like a gentleman he held the door open for me and we were on our way back to his place.

Chapter 27

The next morning when I woke up I could smell coffee luring me into the kitchen. I got up and brushed my teeth, surprised that I didn't feel at all hungover. When I walked into the kitchen Vero and Mel were already there sitting down and drinking coffee. Vero quickly got up and poured me a cup which I thanked her for.

"So where's Colby?" I asked as I sat down and sipped on my drink.
"He's still asleep. I don't think he's feeling too great today." Mel answered.
"How are you feeling today?" Vero asked.
"Surprisingly I feel fine. How about you guys?"
"Not bad at all." Vero answered.
"Like death." Mel replied causing us all to laugh. "So Brooke have Sid asked you to be his plus one yet?"
"Plus one for what?" I asked completely confused.
"Our wedding. Colby and I are getting married this summer and I figured Sid would ask you to come with him. If not you're obviously invited."
"Thanks Mel I would love to come but I'm assuming that everything is finalized so if Sid don't ask just send me pictures." I said feeling a little disappointed that Sid hadn't asked me to go with him.

"He's going to ask geez the guy is busy." Colby said as he came into the kitchen rubbing his eyes.
"Awwe muffin not feeling well today or what?" I teased when he sat down next to me and waited for Mel to pour his coffee.
"I have felt better. I can't believe you're not sick you were really drunk last night too."
"See I'm smart, I stick to just beer. You guys were mixing all sorts of drinks, that's just asking for a hangover."
"Yeah maybe next time I'll follow your lead."
"That would be wise."

We all sat around for a while until we remembered calling Sid and Marc last night but neither of us really remembered how they had taken the phone call.

"They won't be mad, they really like me." Colby said with a grin. "I think they can tolerate you guys too so I think we're good."
"You're an idiot." Mel said laughing along with the rest of us.
"Man if the guys win tonight they're going into the second round. That's pretty exciting I wish I was a part of it." Colby said looking a little bummed.
"I've told you a hundred times Colby you have a long career ahead of you and you're going to have your chance with the cup too, and you know I'm right." Mel answered rubbing his arm.
"I know I just like these little pep talks." He chuckled.
"So Brooke when the playoffs are over what's going to happen with you and Sid." Mel asked.
"I don't know." I answered slowly. "Honestly we haven't even talked about once the season is over. I mean he's going to go home before me and even then I want to go home. Plus I don't see us travelling to each other's houses right yet that seems soon. I don't know maybe we'll just have to take a break or something over the summer."
"I don't think he's going to want to do that." Colby stated. "Besides he's going to be back and forth here while you're here with all his little things he has to do. And then when you go home I'm sure you guys will visit it's not like you're going to be far apart then. And you're both coming to our wedding so there we have it everything will be fine."
"Glad you have faith in us."

I stayed for about another hour but decided I should head home home and at least let Logan know that I was still alive.

"Listen if you guys want to come over later for food and maybe watch the hockey game I'd be glad to have the company. Especially if Laura is over with Logan." I offered as I was putting my coat on.
"You know what, that sounds awesome. We'll get cleaned up and be over later." Vero answered.
"Alright well mention it to whoever you want and just come on over when you're ready. I'll see you guys later."

They all said see you and Colby and I left. He was taking me home since I rode with Vero last night. We talked about random things all the way and I don't think I ever stopped laughing. The guy was hilarious I could definitely see why he was so popular with the team and the fans when he was in Pittsburgh. He said bye when he dropped me off and said he would see me in a couple hours. When I went in Logan and Laura were sitting on the couch.

"Brooke what the hell I haven't slept all night I was worried. You should have called me." Logan demanded when I flopped down onto the couch.
"Sorry I was a little drunk so I didn't really remember. I stayed at Vero's with her, Mel, and Colby."
"What, Colby is in town?" He asked getting excited.
"Yeah him and Mel, and Ryan and Abby. Actually some of them are going to come over tonight to watch the game so if you guys don't already have plans you should stick around, should be a pretty good time."
"Oh man we already told Kristy that we would go to her place. She's having a little get together because her parents are out of town and she invited us. I wish I knew."
"You know what Logan it's fine. If you want to stay here and hang out with your friends I won't be mad. It wouldn't hurt us to spend one night apart so we can both be with our friends. Besides there's not going to be many guys at Kristy's so you'll probably have more fun here." Laura stated sounding extremely sweet.
"Oh Laura you're the best." Logan replied. "I will call you tomorrow first thing."

Just then we heard a car pull up in the driveway.

"That's my mom. Yeah call me tomorrow and we'll do something. Bye Logan, Brooke."
"Bye Laura." We both said at the same time. With that she shot us a last smile and left. If I hadn't overheard her plotting against me I think that we would have gotten along just fine.

"I'm going to go take a nap and shower." Logan said.
"Yeah that sounds like a good idea." I agreed.

We both then went to our bedrooms. I jumped in the shower first and got out about twenty minutes later. Then I shoved on some pajamas and crawled into my bed. It felt so good to be in my own comfy bed, alone might I add. I quickly drifted off to sleep.

I was awakened by the sound of my phone going off. I grabbed my phone and didn't bother to look at the caller id.

"Hello?" I answered, groggily into the phone.
"I think we have a thing for waking each other up." Sid replied.
"Oh hey Sid, how are you?"
"I'm pretty good now. I was just settling into my room and was going to have a nap but figured I should check and see how you were feeling today. You sounded pretty drunk last night."
"Yeah I was really drunk but feel good today. Which is more than I can say for Army. You'd think with being a big, strong guy he'd be able to handle it but apparently looks can be deceiving."
"You don't know how hard it is keeping up with girls when they're out drinking. I bet you's wouldn't even let him leave the dance floor."
"Yeah something like that. So what did you do last night?"
"Well we went out for a bite and came back and watched a movie. Then I decided to go to bed early so I would be all rested up for a very important game tonight. But apparently some people had something else in mind because I got a phone call from four very drunk people at three in the morning."
"Yeah I'm sorry about that. Colby came up with the idea I guess we just thought it would be funny. Hope you're not mad."
"Of course not I found it funny. Marc did too we were telling the guys about it today at practice, they're all stoked that Army and Bugsy are in town. We didn't think we'd see them until, well, umm, later in the summer."
"Oh yeah you mean at they're wedding. Mel asked me if I was invited, I didn't even know what she was talking about?"
"Brooke I'm sorry I would ask you but we haven't been together for long and I don't feel like rushing anything. Besides I don't know what's going to happen."
"During the summer I guess you mean, right?"
"Well yeah I don't really know what to do, I don't think we'll see each other and is the whole long distance thing worth it yet, we haven't been together long enough to know."
"Yeah you're right."
"Brooke I'm sorry I don't want to hurt you or anything. Maybe we should wait until tomorrow to talk about this and figure things out instead of over the phone."
"Yeah we wouldn't want to break up over the phone."
"Brooke....."
"You should go take your nap you have a big game tonight. I'll talk to you tomorrow I guess and I surely can't wait for that." I said sarcastically.
"Brooke...."

Something came over me and I just hung up then instead of waiting for his reply. I kind of felt numb over this. He doesn't think this is worth even trying long distance for a couple of months. I heard a thump downstairs and knew that Logan was up. That was perfect since I knew that I could talk to him.

"Hey Logan can we talk?" I asked as I walked into the living room and saw him stretched out on the couch.
"Yeah. What did he do, do I have to kick his ass? Because I will." He said when he saw the look on my face.
"Colby and Mel are getting married the summer and they asked me if Sid invited me. Then we somehow got talking about it today and he said he would but it seems soon. Then he basically said that he don't know if what we have is even worth trying the whole long distance thing and we should talk tomorrow."
"Wow he's going to break up with you already. I thought you guys would like be together for a long time, he's like you for a long time."
"Yeah but that's what he said so I mean I don't know."
"Maybe you'll figure it out tomorrow. I don't see him wanting to break things off. I think once you guys talk you'll come up with something."
"I hope so."

We changed the subject and just lounged around for a while waiting for everyone to show up. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. I opened it to reveal Vero, Mel, Abby, Ryan, and Colby. None of us could believe that it was only three in the afternoon, the day seemed so long but there we were sitting down watching the game intently. We ordered some food to eat while we watched. The guys ending up winning 5-3 with goals from Feds, Gonch, Eaton, and two from Sid, coming back from a 3-0 deficit. The guys had won the series and were going crazy on the ice. We were enjoying ourselves and about nine there was a knock on the door. I got up to answer and was surprised at who was there.

"Sid, hey, come in." I stammered.
"Thanks." He replied awkwardly.

As soon as he went into the living everyone went crazy hugging him, especially Colby.

"Listen the guys are at Diesel for some drinks and they're waiting on us. We have it rented so it's just us tonight because we're having a public thing tomorrow night." Sid stated.

Everyone got excited and put their coats and boots on.

"Who's riding with who?" Colby asked everyone.
"You guys figure it out." Sid said. "We'll catch up, Brooke and I have to talk first. We'll meet you guys there."

Everyone said ok and left leaving Sid and I alone in the kitchen and I was getting even more nervous every second.

Chapter 26

The next morning followed the same routine as always. Logan and I both got up, showered, ate breakfast, finished getting ready, then I drove him to school, and headed off to school myself. I was really glad that it was Friday I just wish that there was something I could do since Sid would be gone and I didn't want to be a third wheel to Logan and Laura, especially with the way I hated her. The day dragged on, probably because it was the the beginning of the weekend, but I was glad when it finally was over. After school I said bye to everyone and headed off to get Logan. When I pulled in I saw Laura was still there waiting and she climbed into the car with him.

"Hey Brooke, Laura's coming over for a while, hope you don't mind." Logan stated when we started to move.
"Of course not." I replied.

The rest of the way home I just listened to Logan and Laura talk about school and some people in their class. I could see how much Logan liked her which made me really mad but she seemed to really like him too so maybe this would all blow over and he would never have to find out. When we got home Logan took out some pork chops and started cooking and I was helping when my phone rang. I ran up to my bedroom to take the call.

"Hello?" I answered not recognizing the number on my phone.
"Hey Brooke, it's Vero." She stated. "Listen all us girls are going out tonight and I think you should come with us. I won't take no for an answer so I'll be over around six and we'll get ready together. Ok bye."

With that she hung up not even giving me a chance to say no. I wouldn't have said no anyway because I actually wanted something to do so I was pretty happy that she had thought about me. I programmed her number into my phone so I would know it was her next time and headed back downstairs to help Logan cook. When I went into the kitchen everything was already cooking so there was nothing else I could do.

After the food was cooked we all sat down to the island and began to eat.

"Who was that who called Brooke?" Logan asked making conversation.
"Vero. She called to say they were all going out and she wanted me to go with them and she's coming over in about an hour to get ready."
"That's awesome at least you won't have a boring night. I think Laura's going to stay the night, if you don't mind."
"No I don't mind just please stay in your room if your going to be naked" I replied causing them both to turn red.

At this point we were done eating so we all put our dishes in the sink and I washed them while Laura dried and Logan packed them away. When everything was done my phone went off again so I went up in my bedroom to answer it.

"Hello?"
"Hey baby." Sid replied through the other end of the phone.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Not too much just settled into the hotel now for the night. You have any plans?"
"Actually Vero is coming over in a bit and then we're all going out apparently. I was kind of forced into it though but I'm glad to have something to do."
"I'm sure you'll have a good time they're a great bunch of girls. Just try not to get into any fights this time please."
"Ugh you're so funny, assface."
"Thanks you're so sweet."
"So what are you guys doing tonight? There's no way I believe you're going to be cooped up in the hotel room all night."
"We'll probably go out for some food and come back and watch a couple movies or something. Can't really do too much with the game tomorrow."

I heard the doorbell ring just then.

"Sid, Vero's here now so I should go. Call me tomorrow some time if you get a chance."
"I'll call you before my nap. Bye baby."
"Bye."

When I flipped my phone shut my door opened and Vero walked on in my bedroom, followed by Mel, who I didn't know was in town.

"Colby came here to suprise the guys so him and Mel will be going out tonight too." Vero stated.
"He doesn't mind going out with a bunch of girls.?" I asked.
"Well Ryan Malone is in town with Abby so he'll be there too." Vero answered.
"Please he would probably have more fun with just the girls anyway knowing Colby." Mel stated with a grin, causing Vero and me to giggle a little. "I know he's excited to get to know you though, apparently Sid won't ever shut up about you."
"Oh great, that's embarrassing."
"Now we're going to have Colby and Ryan there keeping their eyes on us all night so that should be even more fun." Vero said.

We all laughed and started getting ready. We all just put on a nice pair of jeans and a tank top. Mel and I straightened our hair while Vero put some curls in hers. Then we all did out make up and were all ready for the night.

"It's still only eight, what are we going to do now? It's too early to go out isn't it?" I asked.
"Yeah we're going to head over to Ksenia and Sergei's place for a few drinks before we head out." Vero answered.
"Exactly who's going to be there with us? And what about their kids." I asked hoping that it would be nobody who had hated me when I first got here.
"It's only the three of us, Abby, Colby, Ryan, Ksenia, and Erin. Jenny, Heather and most of them aren't in Pittsburgh right now because they're still going to school. Ksenia's neighbour has the kids for the night." Mel answered.
"Well Sid asked me not to get into any fights so that should be easy tonight."
"Jesus I forgot all about that. That was a crazy night but hey you weeded out all the bad seeds anyway." Vero said as we all laughed remembering the events of that night.

When we had finished recapping we headed downstairs and said by to Logan, neither of us said anything to Laura as we headed out the door. We stopped by the liquor store on the way to Ksenia's and picked up some drinks before we headed to the bar. Mel and Vero went half on White Russian mix and I stuck with a six pack of beer. A little while later we were knocking on Ksenia's door. Colby was the one to come answer the door.

"Oh my God Colby can you not behave yourself anywhere." Mel said as she walked past him giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"What, she's busy I'm helping Mel I do that sometimes." He said as everyone laughed at him.

Vero introduced me to everyone as Colby reminded everyone of what had happened the last time that I went drinking with them.

"Thanks for that Colby." I stated as everyone laughed.
"My pleasure. That was probably the most exciting part of the night so you know I had to bring it up."
"Well I'm so glad you did." I said sarcastically.

We all just sat around talking, drinking, and having a good time. Before we knew it, it was midnight and everyone was feeling pretty buzzed. Ksenia called us a couple of cabs and we went outside to wait for them. It only took about fifteen minutes and both the cabs were there. I crawled into a cab with Colby, Mel, and Vero while Abby, Ryan, Ksenia, and Erin got into the other cab. We all met up outside the club and got in without a wait. I guess Colby and Ryan helped us in that case. As soon as we went in Colby bought us a round of shots and we all got another drink. Then everyone headed to the dance floor where we spent the entire night. After the bar shut down we managed to get cabs and said our byes to each other as we all split up.

"Oh my God Brooke you have to come sleep at my house. Mel and Colby are coming it'll be so much fun." Vero said excitedly while we were on the way.
"Yes Brooke it'll be a good time you have to come" Colby said mocking Vero's tone making everyone laugh.
"Actually I think I will. Logan has his girlfriend over so I don't want to walk in on anything." I replied.
"YAY. We'll have to order some food before bed. Brooke you can crawl in bed with me it's big enough for the two of us and I promise I won't put any moves on you." Vero said.
"Oh well as long as you don't put moves on me I'm ok with sleeping with you." I answered while we all laughed.
"And if you two change your mind and do decide on putting moves on each other I will just be in the next room so you can let me know and I'll be happy to watch" Colby said as Mel laughed and punched him in the shoulder.

A little while later we arrived at Vero's and Colby payed for the cab. I guess all the alcohol made him generous. We went inside and agreed on ordering some chinese food before we headed off to bed.

"Man I'm calling Sid and waking him up." Colby stated as he jumped up.
"Colby you can't do that it's three in the morning and he got a game tomorrow night." Mel warned.
"Oh Mel stop ruining my fun, it's going to happen. I'll tell him that I was in it alone if he gets mad." Colby said as we all laughed at him.

Before anybody could say anything else he had his phone took out and was getting ready to dial the number.

"Wait." Vero yelled. "Use the landline and do three way. Call him and Marc and put them on speaker phone so we can all hear."
"Yes that'll be hilarious." I stated.
"You guys are going to get in trouble." Mel said with a smile.

With that Colby called Marc and told him to hold on then linked Sid on. He put them on speaker phone and they both sounded confused, tired, and worried all at the same time.

"What's going on?" Sid asked.
"Is everyone ok?" Marc asked right after.
"Yes everyone is fine. We missed you guys." Colby answered.
"Colby what the hell?" Sid and Marc both said at the same time.
"Well I came to Pittsburgh for a visit and you guys all left town. I don't think that's very nice I mean we used to be teammates and now you run away." Colby said jokingly causing us all to laugh.
"Where the hell are you and are you drunk?" Sid asked.
"Yes I am drunk we've been drinking all night?" Colby answered.
"Colby is that my number on my caller id, are you at my house?" Marc asked sounding even more confused than when we first called.
"Yes Mr. Fleury I am at your house with your girlfriend and Sid's girlfriend. We've been drinking tonight and these girls said they would attack me if I didn't call you. Apparently your girlfriend's miss you when you're away." Colby said.
"Oh my God Colby you're such a liar, we tried to talk him out of it." I said as Vero and I threw pillow at him.
"Brooke, are you at Vero's too?" Sid asked.
"Well Mr. Crosby I'm glad you asked", Colby began, "I came into town to surprise you guys since well I'm not in the playoffs. Then Ryan and Abby found out and decided to come to town with Mel and me. When we got here we kidnapped Brooke, Vero, Ksenia, and Erin and we all went to the bar. Now we are all drunk and Brooke, Vero, Mel, and I are having a sleep over here."
"And what's the point of calling and waking us up?" Marc asked sounding amused rather than angry like I figured he would.
"We're just waiting on our food now. I don't like being the only guy so I wanted some masculinity to talk to while we wait." Colby responded.
"That's a lie Colby you're loving every minute of this." Mel teased.
"I'm hanging up." Sid stated while he laughed.
"Me too." Marc said.

We then heard two clicks and the beeping signalling that we've been hung up on.

"How rude." Colby said as we all laughed and shook our heads at him. The doorbell rang then and we went to get the food. We went four ways on the food and sat down to eat on the floor while we planned up some things we could do if the guys ever got an off day so we could all go out and do something together. After we had eaten Vero gave me some pajamas and another toothbrush and we all got ready for bed. We said our good nights and as soon as my head touched the pillow I fell into a very deep, dreamless sleep.

Chapter 25

After we got home I knew that I was going to have to call Sid and explain everything to him.

"Hey you're not mad that I told him are you? I wouldn't have done it but I knew that he wouldn't get mad over it and he would just try to make things right." Logan said when we got home.
"I'm not mad. I'm going to go call him now though and then we'll figure out something for supper."
"Sounds good."

I ran upstairs to talk to Sid and get this all cleared up once and for all. I knew I was starting to sound like a super paranoid drama queen and that was the last thing that I wanted with this being a new relationship and all.

"Hello?" He answered after the second ring.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked.
"Not too much. What's going on?"
"Just got home. Logan told me that you called him and before you even bring it up I just want you to know that everything Logan told you is a lie."
"Why the hell would Logan lie to me about all of that?"
"Well he doesn't really know he lied."
"Alright I'm confused what's happening here?"
"Last night when I came upstairs to change I heard Laura on the phone with her friend Kristy. She told Kristy that Logan had a friend she was going to set her up with and well turns out that friend is you. They don't care that we're together and they're going to try and come between us so that you and Kristy can be together."
"Why don't you want Logan to know? He'd be pissed at her."
"That's why I don't want to say anything. He likes her a lot and I don't want to ruin that for him."
"Don't you think not telling him would piss him off though. If he knew that she was doing that to you there's no way he would want anything to do with her."
"I just don't want to ruin this for him."
"If you don't tell him he's going to be pissed when he finds out you knew this."
"I already made up my mind that I'm not going to tell him. He's finally happy and after everything he went through last year he deserves this."
"Fine it's your call."
"Yeah it is."
"So are you worried about me and this Kristy girl?" He asked and I could even hear the smile in his voice.
"Well I was mostly pissed off when I overheard but then I saw her and now I'm a little freaked out."
"Why?"
"Sid she is gorgeous. She looks like a mini Taylor Swift, who I know you find hot so that doesn't help."
"Brooke I don't care about looks. Besides you're absolutely gorgeous too so you have nothing to envy her for."
"Whatever you say dear."

There was a knock on my door then and Logan peeked his head in.

"You guys going to make it?" He asked jokingly.
"Yeah Logan." I answered smiling and I heard Sid chuckle too.
"Well I just got off the phone with Laura. Her and Kristy are coming over and we're going to order pizza so I figured we'd wait for them and all order together."
"Sounds good Logan, I'll be right down."

Logan left the room smiling.

"Are you nervous for the game tonight?" I asked hoping that we could change the subject.
"A little but I think we can pull it off."
"Well I'll be watching the entire time."
"Ooooh a little extra motivation huh. I'll call you after the game."
"Ok, tell the guys I said good luck."
"I will baby, bye."
"Bye."

Then I went downstairs with Logan to wait for Laura and Kristy to show up. About twenty minutes later the doorbell rang and Logan jumped up to go answer.

"Hello ladies." He greeted when I heard the door close again.
"Hey Logan. So who'd you rope into coming?" Laura asked sounding anxious.
"Just us three and Brooke."
"What, what happened to Sidney?"
"They have a game tonight which we'll be watching while we eat."

They all came into the living room and sat down on the couch. I said hi to the girls when they first came in but I kept my mouth shut for the rest of their conversation. About fifteen minutes later the doorbell rang again and this time I got up to answer it.

"Vero, I wasn't expecting you." I stated as I opened the door and revealed her standing there with a big smile on her face.
"Yeah well Sid called me and told me everything that was happening and wondered if I would show up as your backup since I wasn't going to the game anyway, so here I am. Hope you don't mind."
"Not at all I'm glad to have a friendly face here."
"I can't actually believe what they're going on with it's so childish and mean."
"I thought so too."

We both walked into the living room, suprising Logan as he said hey with a grin, and sat down on the love seat. We decided on our pizzas and Vero placed the order. As soon as the game started the pizza guy showed up so we sat down and ate and watched the game at the same time. After we were finished eating Laura called her mom to come pick up her and Kristy but Vero decided to stay and finish the game with Logan and me.

"Thanks for coming for support, it made the night a lot easier." I said to Vero while Logan was outside seeing the girls off.
"I'm glad Sid called me actually. We haven't hung out for a while and I really want to hang out more since our boyfriend's are like best friends, we basically have to become bff's so they'll keep us around."
"So why aren't you at the game tonight, I figured you would be at them all?"
"This is the first one I've missed but I've been working all day and I just wanted to have a relaxing night. Plus I know they have a lot more hockey left in them yet so one game won't hurt."
"That's very true."
"Oh my God light bulb. You should totally get Sid to get you some tickets in our section so then you can go to the games with us. That way you would get to know all the girlfriends and wives and we would be all like a big family. Plus it would be nice for Sid to have someone besides his parents there he can count on."
"I don't think so. We haven't even talked about whether this is going to be a public relationship or a secret relationship. Plus his father already hates me so I don't think it's a good idea."
"Trust me Sid's not going to hide his relationship from people. And for the record when it comes to Sid his father hates everything with boobs around him."

Logan walked in during this last statement.

"What the hell are you two talking about?" He asked with a grin.
"Just letting her know what happens in Troy's mind when it comes to Sid."

The third period came on and we were all silent watching it besides some profound language as we watched Claude Giroux and Mike Knuble add to Arron Asham's goal to give the Philly a 3-0 win.

"I should head home I think Marc's going to take this one hard." Vero stated as she got up to leave. "Good luck with Sid tonight, he'll probably be even worse." She gave me a hug and then left after saying bye to Logan as well.

Logan and I then went into the living room and watched some of the post-game interviews but we both got tired pretty quickly so we decided to go to bed. I brushed my teeth and changed into pajamas and was going to lay in bed and wait for Sid to call. I fell asleep after about twenty minutes and woke up to my phone going off. I looked at the clock and it was midnight.

"Hello?" I answered groggily.
"I'm sorry I woke you up didn't I?" Sid asked.
"Yeah but it's ok. How are you?"
"A little disappointed but we're still leading the series."
"You guys will do better next time I'm sure."
"I hope so. I'm going to let you get back to sleep now I just wanted to let you know that we're leaving tomorrow for Philly and we'll be back late Saturday night, so I'll call you on Sunday to get together ok?"
"I guess it has to be."
"What does that mean?"
"I finally have a couple days off from school and the nights I can actually do something you're going to be gone. But it's fine I'll just watch the games and cheer you guys on through the tv."
"I know it sucks but we'll spend all Sunday together."
"Can't wait."
"Me either. I'll call you tomorrow night before the game ok. Have a good day at school."
"I will and good luck on your game."
"Thanks. Bye baby."
"Bye."

As soon as we hung up I fell back to sleep having a nice peaceful sleep.
