Chapter 22

The next day Logan and I slept in until dinner time. It was Saturday and the guys were gone to Philly so we had no one waking us up or really no reason to get up early. After we had sat down to eat I realized that we haven't really talked about how school was going for Logan so I figured this would be a good opportunity to bring it up.

"So Logan you haven't mentioned school, how's it going?" I asked.
"Actually it's going great," he started, "I'm doing really well this year. I'm glad there's only two months left because well it's school but it's way better than last year."
"That is such a good thing. It's a relief how everything is working out for us. I can only imagine what our parents' reaction would be if we weren't doing so well."
"They would probably make us quit and go home knowing them."
"I wouldn't doubt that."
"Have you told your mother and father yet that you and Sid are together?"
"No. I don't really want to right yet. They'd probably freak out if they knew I was seeing some guy they didn't know."
"I think your father and brother would be pumped. They love hockey and they're both fans of Sidney Crosby so I don't think they would have a problem with it at all."
"I think you'd be surprised. They're fans of Sidney Crosby the hockey player. I highly doubt they'd be fans of Sidney Crosby they guy who's dating their daughter/baby sister."
"When you put it that way I kind of want to be there when you tell them."
"Yeah thanks for that." I responded shaking my head and smiling.

After a couple minutes of silence Logan piped up.

"I think I'm going out for a little while tonight."
"Really, with who?" I asked as I started doing the dishes.
"A girl from school. So I was hoping you would drop me off at the movies later and then maybe come pick me up."
"That's no problem. You should think about your license now, I mean you already have your beginners then you can take the car sometimes when you want to go somewhere."
"I'm going to check into that for sure."
"But anyway tell me about this girl."
"There's not much to tell. Her name is Laura. We've been geting pretty close but of course only at school so I wanted this date to get to know her. And she's gorgeous."
"Well I'm glad. Maybe if it goes good we can double date if Sid ever gets a chance."
"That would be awesome."

For the rest of the day Logan and I kept ourselves busy. We had scrubbed everything down, including the walls, and had decided to finally do our pictures. After printing off about a dozen pictures we framed them and hung them all over the walls. They were all of our family and friends from home.

"We should get pictures of us with the guys to hang up around the house." I suggeted.
"That's a good idea. All of these pictures are kind of depressing in a way." Logan responded.
"I know what you mean. It's like we can't let go of home when really I'm pretty content here."
"Me too, we definitely lucked out. I should go shower so I'll be ready for tonight."
"I'll get a start on supper now."

About ten minutes later Logan was out of the shower and he came into the kitchen to help me cook. When supper was cooked we took our food into the living room so we could watch a movie while we ate. After supper Logan washed the dishes while I dried them and packed them away. When that was done Logan went to call Laura.

"Can you give me a ride to the movies now?" He asked when he came back from his room.
"Sure thing chicken wing." I said with a smile as we put on our coats and boots and headed to the car.

During the car ride we had the Avenged Sevenfold CD playing, up on bust and we were both singing along to it at the top of our lungs. When we pulled into the parking lot I saw a blonde girl stood there.

"Wow Logan is that her?" I asked.
"Yes, what do you think?" He responded.
"I think even I would do her." I said jokingly.
"Oh that's just great", he said with a smile, "I'll call you to come pick me up."
"OK have a good time, see you."

I then drove away once again singing all the way. After I got home I locked the door and jumped in the shower. I got out and put on a nice, warm pair of pajamas and popped Twilight in. About half way through the movie my phone rang so I paused it.

"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey babe." Sid's voice rang through the phone.
"What's up?" I asked as butterflies filled my stomach and a smile spread across my face.
"Just got settled into my hotel room for the night and figured I'd give my beautiful girlfriend a call. What're you up to?"
"Watching a movie."
"What movie you watching?"
"Twilight."
"I haven't seen that yet, is it any good?"
"Are you kidding me?" I asked incredulously.
"I guess that means you like it." He stated as he chuckled a little.
"That's an understatement. It's for sure the best movie that I've ever seen."
"Well how about when I get home we get together and watch it ?"
"I'd like that. Maybe we can watch it with Logan and Laura."
"Who's Laura?"
"The girl Logan is out on a date with."

There was a slight pause.

"Wait you're home alone right now?" He asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh nothing, now I just really wish I was there with you. You know to keep you company."
"I bet that's what's on you mind right now."

We both lauged at that and continued talking for another half an hour.

"Well babe I'm sorry but I have to go. I'm fighting to keep my eyes open now."
"That's OK I'd say I'm soon going to have to go pick Logan up anyway."
"Alright be careful. I'll call you after the game tomorrow."
"Tell Max I miss him and tell everyone good luck on the game."
"I will beautiful. Talk to you tomorrow."
"Bye."
"Bye."

No longer than ten minutes later Logan called and I had to go pick him up. It was now 12 am.

"So how'd it go?" I asked as soon as he got in the car.
"It went awesome. There's a second date in the near future."
"Awwe I'm happy. Now there definitely has to be a double date."
"Speaking of that did your boyfriend call?"
"Yeah we were talking for a nice while."
"Was he nice?"
"Yes Logan he was nice."

Then we pulled into the driveway and headed inside.

"I'm bushed, I'm going to bed." I stated as we walked through the door.
"Me too." Logan replied. "Good night."
"Good night."

We went to our bedrooms and I got ready and crawled into bed. My mind automatically went to thoughts of Sid as I drifted quickly into a peaceful sleep.

A Little Help

I've told you guys that my computer went down for a while and it was reformatted so I have lost everything on it. I had all my favorites wiped cleaned and therefore have lost all of the stories that I was reading. I have found the majority of them again but there are a few that I am having a hard time finding again. The stories I am looking for are:

Chapter 21

A couple minutes later I heard footsteps and then the door opened.

"Hey beautiful." Sid said as he stepped aside allowing me to go in and closed the door behind me.
"Hey you." I replied.
"Let's head over to my wing and watch some movies."
"Sounds good to me."

I followed Sid through the long hallway and into his own living room. It was a simple little room but very cozy looking. There was a large flatscreen tv up against the wall on an entertainment center with a leather couch facing it. Just in front of the couch was an old looking coffee table. There was a window on the right wall but the blinds were already closed. There was a bookcase on the far wall filled with tons of books.

"I like." I said as I looked around the room some more.
"Well thanks." Sid said as he chuckled. "So I rented a couple of movies. They're over on the entertainment center. You can look at them and pick which one you want to watch while I go get some popcorn ready, OK?"
"Yeah that's fine with me."

I looked at the two movies that he had rented. He had gotten the new Fast and Furious movie and Pineapple Express. I was debating which movie I wanted to watch when I was startled by two muscular arms being wrapped around me from behind.

"So which one do you want to watch first?" He asked as he rested his chin on my shoulder causing shivers to run down my spine.
"I really wanted to see them both so it doesn't matter to me, you pick." I replied.
"Well we can watch them both if you want so it doesn't really matter which one is first."
"You sure that won't be too late for you though?"
"No I'll be fine don't even worry." He responded as he took Fast and Furious out of my hands and popped it into the DVD player.

As he put the movie in I went and sat down at the end of the couch. Once the movie was in he came and sat in the middle of the couch next to me. As we got so far through the movie I could see him fiddling his fingers like he was nervous but I didn't see why so I didn't pay much attention to it. Then a few minutes later he let out a little breath as quietly as he could and then he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me towards him so that my head was resting on his shoulder. I instinctively curled my knees up and rested them in his lap. We watched the rest of the movie in silence and I could not ignore the feeling of safety I had when I was with him. Then when it seemed like we had just gotten comfortable the movie was over so I had to move for him to get up.

"So how'd you like the movie?" He asked as he walked to the DVD player to take the movie out.
"It was better than I thought it would be." I answered with a smile.
"I know I think that was even better than the first one."
"Oh I totally think it was too."
"Well you ready for the next one?"
"Ready if you are."
"Ok here goes." He said as he popped the movie in and he came over and sat next to me again pulling me into the same position as before.

When the movie ended he made no gesture to get off the couch and I was planning on leaving him alone until he had to get up. About fifteen minutes later he kissed me on the forehead and got off the couch.

"You like that one too?" He asked as he took it out.
"Loved it. It was hilarious." I answered.
"Yeah it was pretty funny."
"For sure. I should get going now though."
"I'll walk you to your car."

I got up off the couch and while we were walking out he grabbed my hand causing a huge grin to spread across my face. When we got out by my car I turned around to face him and leaned up against the driver's side door. He stood directly in front of me.

"So I had a good time again tonight." I said.
"I did too but I'm sorry we couldn't go out and have much fun tonight I just really want to make sure I'm getting enough rest during the playoffs." He responded.
"Sid it doesn't matter to me, I really did enjoy tonight. It was really relaxing and mellow and I really do enjoy that sometimes."
"Well I'm glad of that because I didn't want to bore you or anything. I was actually hoping that we could go out again when I get back from Philly."
"I would love to go out with you again."
"Good I was hoping you would. I was actually hoping that maybe this could be a little more." He said while he rubbed the back of his neck and rocked from one foot to the other. I knew he was nervous because he wouldn't even look at me.
"What do you mean?"
"It's just, umm, from like the first time we met I could see that you were amazing and lately I just want to spend all my spare time with you. And I'm sorry if this is too fast for you but I'm really hoping that we could be exclusive, a real couple."
"I was hoping you felt that way too."
"Is that a yes?" He asked as he looked at me with a smile on his face.
"Oh absolutely." I replied smiling back at him.

With that he stepped closer to me. When he was only inches away from me he brought his hands up and cupped my face in them. Then he leaned in and when our lips met I could have sworn that I could feel electricity racing through my body. The kiss started off really slow but began to heat up a little, all the while still staying soft and sweet. After like a minute we pulled apart and he kissed me on the forehead.

"I, umm, should, aah, head home, it's aah getting late." I stammered feeling a little breathless.
"OK," he started with a smile, "I'll call you from Philly if that's fine with you."
"Yeah you can if you get some free time but don't feel like you have to if you're busy or anything."
"I know I don't have to but I want to. I'll call you from the hotel or something."
"Ok then. Well I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow." I said as I opened the car door.

He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss which once again made me feel electricity.

"Talk to you tomorrow." He said after we had pulled away.
"Ok see you in a few days."
"See you soon beautiful."

I then hopped into the car and headed home feeling like I was floating on a cloud. I couldn't even remember the last time I had felt this happy. When I pulled into the driveway and walked in through the door I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face.

"Oh my God Brooke you're such a whore." Logan said with a smile as I walked into the living room.
"What the hell Logan?" I asked taken by surprise.
"That smile on your face. That smile states that you've just gotten laid. And seeing that you were with Sidney Crosby it makes that much more sense."
"Dude have some faith in me I did not sleep with him. He asked me to be an official couple and I said yes, hence the smile. And what was up with that little dig at him?"
"It wasn't really a dig it's just he's obviously got to be good with the ladies by now."
"I don't think he's really like that he seems really genuine."
"Well he better be when it comes to you. But I'm heading off to bed I was just waiting up for you. I'll see you in the morning."
"Good night Logan."

He then went into his bedroom and I went into mine. I got ready and crawled into bed with a smile still plastered on my face at how well life was treating me at the moment and hoping that nothing would go wrong.

An Apology

I don't think there are many people reading this story but I do know that at least a couple are reading. I just wanted to write this and apologize to my readers for the lack of updates. Lately my computer has gotten a couple of viruses and I had to take her to a computer store to get her fixed. Well I haven't heard back from this store for 2-3 weeks now so I am checking into it soon and hopefully I will get my computer back some time this week. Right now I am on a friend's computer so that I can let you guys know that I have not given up on this story and I already have a few chapters written so once my computer gets back you can expect a couple of chapters to go up. I am hoping that this is going to be this week some time. So enough ranting, I just wanted to let you all know what is going on and to expect an update some time this week or next week. Thank you all for your patience and for reading my story, I do appreciate the support.
